Eurasia Foundation’s new partner and successor organization in Moldova - East Europe Foundation (EEF) starts its activity!

Eurasia Foundation (EF) is proud to announce that its new partner and successor organization in Moldova - East Europe Foundation (EEF) was registered on November 3, 2009 and officially started its activities on June 1, 2010. The new foundation will continue Eurasia Foundation’s rich, 17-year legacy of promoting democracy and the growth of a market economy in Moldova. The current website www.eurasia.md will not be updated as of June 1st, 2010.

The Eurasia Foundation opened the Moldova Representative Office in November 1997.

The Eurasia Foundation Moldova Representative Office works to promote democracy and the growth of a market economy in Moldova. Our main goals are to support the development of civic organizations, mass-media, local government reform, public administration, and businesses. Our current priorities are promoting citizen oversight of government and key government reform policies, European integration, fighting corruption, and working for free and fair elections. In all of our programs, the Eurasia Foundation seeks to strengthen cooperation between civil society organizations and Moldovan government.

The Eurasia Foundation awards grants and directly implements technical assistance programs in targeted sectors.
