invites applications for the
GRANTS COMPETITION “Civic Education Campaign”
Goal of the Competition: The goal of this initiative is to contribute towards increased civic activism among the voting population of the Republic of Moldova, with special focus on communities outside the capital city. EF seeks to identify, select and support innovative public awareness and educational proposals from community-based organizations and media from all over the country.
Supported Activities: EF will place special emphasis on voter and civic education for particularly vulnerable groups, including the economically disadvantaged, women, youth, minorities, and people living in remote regions of Moldova. EF will support “door-to-door” and other innovative civic education campaigns in order to reach these social groups.
The types of activities eligible for funding within this grant competition include but are NOT limited to the following:
- Newspaper inserts on electoral education;
- Bus/bicycle campaigns in various locations;
- Electoral educational programs on TV and radio;
- Public concerts and other cultural events;
- Design and dissemination of civic education materials (posters, billboards, leaflets, booklets), etc.
Qualified Applicants: Legally registered media outlets, local and regional grassroots NGOs, community-based organizations working with various social groups are eligible to participate in this competition. The project proposals should be submitted according to the Request for Proposals available on www.eurasia.md.
